Team Usage and Capacity Costs

Team Usage and Capacity Costs

Purpose

Your SuperSend usage drives costs: emails sent, mailboxes, domains, validation credits, and capacity. This article explains what gets measured, where to see it, and how capacity costs work.

Where to See Usage

  • Billing Dashboard — Org-level billing summary. Shows plan, payment method, invoices.
  • BillingDomains & Mailboxes — Counts and costs for domains and mailboxes.
  • TeamCapacity (or Planning) — Capacity planning view showing how much send capacity you have and how it's used.

What Counts as Usage

Dimension

What it measures

Emails sent

Campaign emails delivered (not bounces).

Domains

Domains you own or have connected.

Mailboxes

Mailboxes provisioned (up to 5 per domain).

Validation credits

Email validation checks used on contact imports.

Capacity

Sender capacity — daily send limits, ramp allocation.

Capacity and How It's Billed

Capacity refers to your ability to send. Each sender (mailbox) has a daily limit. Your plan may include a certain volume of "capacity" (e.g., total emails per month across senders). Exceeding that can trigger overage charges or require a plan upgrade.

Capacity planning view shows:

  • on-track — Enough capacity for your contacts.
  • at-risk — May not finish in desired timeframe.
  • oversubscribed / no-capacity — More contacts than capacity; need more senders or a higher plan.

Use this to plan ramp-up and avoid surprises.

Team-Level vs Org-Level

  • Team — A workspace (e.g., a product line or region). Usage is often tracked per team.
  • Org — The top-level organization. Billing is usually org-level; usage rolls up from teams.

Check your plan to see whether limits are per team or org.

Credits

Some plans use credits for:

  • Email validation — Each validation consumes credits. Shown at import time.
  • Other usage — Depends on plan (e.g., AI features, extra capacity).

Available credits = org limit minus what's been used. If you run out, validation or other credit-based features may be disabled until the next billing cycle or until you purchase more.

Viewing Invoices and Purchases

BillingView Invoices and Purchases (or Invoices tab) shows:

  • Past invoices
  • Line items (domains, mailboxes, overages, etc.)
  • Download links for PDFs

Use this to reconcile usage with charges.

Expected Result

You know where to see usage, what drives costs, and how capacity affects your ability to send. You can plan upgrades or overages accordingly.
