Free Trial and Plan FAQ
Free Trial and Plan FAQ
Purpose
Common questions about the free trial, plan selection, and what happens when your trial ends. Plain answers, no jargon.
Free Trial
What does the free trial include?
You get full access to SuperSend for a set period (typically 14 days, though enterprise may differ). Add senders, create campaigns, import contacts, and use the features available on the plan you've selected. No credit card required to start in most cases.
How do I know when my trial ends?
A Free Trial banner appears at the top of the app when you're on a trial. It shows: "Ends [date] (X days left)". You can also check Billing → Plan for your next billing date.
What happens when the trial ends?
- If you added a payment method: Billing starts automatically. You keep using SuperSend without interruption.
- If you didn't add a payment method: You'll see "Your Free Trial Ended — To keep sending, select a plan and add your billing details." Click Manage Plan & Billing to add a card and choose a plan.
- If your plan was cancelled: You'll see "Your Plan Was Cancelled" and need to resubscribe to continue.
Do I need to add a payment method during the trial?
It depends on your signup. If the banner says "Add billing details to continue after trial", add a payment method before the trial ends to avoid a gap. If it says "Billing starts automatically after", a payment method is already on file.
Will I be charged before the trial ends?
No. You're not charged until the trial period ends, and only if you have a payment method on file and an active plan.
Plan Selection
Is there a free plan?
SuperSend offers paid plans with different tiers (senders, contacts, email volume, etc.). Check Billing → Plan or the pricing page for current options. Free-tier availability may vary — contact sales if you're unsure.
How do I change my plan?
- Go to Billing (organization menu) → Plan.
- Click Manage Plan.
- Choose Monthly or Annual (annual usually saves ~15%).
- Select the plan tier you want.
- Click Save.
Changes typically apply at the start of your next billing cycle. Upgrades may take effect immediately depending on the change.
Can I cancel and reactivate?
Yes. Click Manage Plan → Cancel Plan. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Until then, a Reactivate button appears if you change your mind — click it to keep your plan active.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your data is retained for a period after cancellation. After that, it may be deleted per SuperSend's data retention policy. Export contacts and any data you need before cancelling if you're not sure you'll return.
Billing and Payment
Where do I add or update my payment method?
Billing → Payment Methods. Add a card, update an existing one, or remove an old card. If your subscription is incomplete (payment not collected), that tab shows the payment setup form.
When am I charged?
For subscriptions: on your billing date (monthly or annual, depending on your plan). For one-off purchases (domains, mailboxes, add-ons): at checkout. Invoices are in Billing → Invoices.
I don't see Billing in the menu
Billing requires org admin permissions. If you don't see it, ask your organization's admin to handle billing or grant you access.
Expected Result
You understand how the trial works, when you'll be charged, and how to change or cancel your plan. You know where to add a payment method and what to do when the trial ends.
