Add and Manage Payment Methods

Add and Manage Payment Methods

Purpose

Your payment method is how SuperSend charges for your subscription and any one-time purchases (domains, mailboxes). This article explains how to add a payment method, update it when a card expires, and avoid service interruptions.

Navigate to Payment Methods

Go to BillingPayment Methods tab.

Add a Payment Method

If you haven't added a payment method yet (or your subscription shows as incomplete), the tab shows a setup form:

  1. Fill in your card details using the payment form. SuperSend uses Stripe for payment processing — your card information is entered directly into Stripe's secure form, not stored by SuperSend.
  2. Fill in your billing address.
  3. Click Add Payment Method.

Stripe accepts major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) and, in some regions, bank transfers.

Update or Replace a Card

If you have an existing card on file and need to replace it (e.g., new card issued, old one expired):

  1. Click Add Payment Method to add the new card.
  2. Once the new card is saved, it becomes available for future charges.

Stripe-managed subscriptions typically auto-retry failed charges and may send you email reminders if a charge fails. Update your card before the retry period expires to avoid service interruption.

If Your Subscription Is Suspended

If charges fail repeatedly, SuperSend may suspend your subscription. To reactivate:

  1. Go to Billing → Payment Methods.
  2. Add a valid payment method.
  3. Go to Billing → Plan tab and click Reactivate (if available).
  4. Contact SuperSend support if you need assistance restoring access.

Expected Result

Your billing account has a valid, active payment method, and subscription charges are processing successfully.

Troubleshooting

  • Issue: Card declines when adding.

Fix: Confirm the card number, expiry date, and CVC are correct. Check with your card issuer — some cards block online transactions by default. Try a different card if the issue persists.

  • Issue: Charges are failing despite a saved card.

Fix: Check if the card has expired or been replaced. Go to Payment Methods and add an updated card. Also check if your bank is blocking international or SaaS transactions.

  • Issue: Payment Methods tab is not accessible.

Fix: Billing pages require org admin permissions. Ask your organization's admin to make billing changes if needed.
