Change Subscription Plan
Change Subscription Plan
Purpose
Upgrade, downgrade, or switch between monthly and annual billing for your SuperSend subscription.
Prerequisites
Org admin permissions and a payment method on file.
Navigate to Plan Settings
Go to Billing → Plan tab. The current plan card shows your plan name, price, billing interval, and next billing date.
Change Your Plan
- Click Manage Plan. The plan card enters edit mode.
- Toggle between Monthly and Annual (annual billing saves 15%).
- Select a different plan tier if applicable.
- Review the new price and what changes in your plan limits.
- Click Save.
The change takes effect immediately. If upgrading mid-cycle, Stripe prorates the charge (you're billed for the difference for the remaining days in the current period). If downgrading, the lower plan limit applies immediately, but you're typically not refunded for the difference — check the specifics at checkout.
Switch from Monthly to Annual
- Go to Billing → Plan → click Manage Plan.
- Toggle the billing period from Monthly to Annual.
- Click Save.
Switching to annual bills you for a full year upfront at the discounted rate. The remaining monthly balance is credited toward the annual charge.
Cancel Your Plan
- Go to Billing → Plan → click Manage Plan.
- Click Cancel Plan.
- Confirm the cancellation.
Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period. After that, access will be restricted. Your data is retained but campaigns will stop sending.
To reactivate a canceled plan before the period ends, click Reactivate from the Plan tab.
Enterprise Plans
If you're on or considering an enterprise plan, plan changes typically require contacting the SuperSend team directly rather than self-service through the billing page. Enterprise plans include custom limits, dedicated infrastructure options (SuperSend Relay, Mission Inbox Direct), and custom pricing.
Expected Result
Your subscription is updated and the new plan details appear in the Plan tab.
Troubleshooting
- Issue: Manage Plan button is not available.
Fix: Confirm you have org admin permissions. Also ensure a payment method is on file — you can't change plans without a valid payment method.
- Issue: Plan appears unchanged after saving.
Fix: Refresh the page. If the issue persists, check for any payment error in the Payment Methods tab (the plan change may have been blocked by a failed payment authorization).
