Super Inbox Overview

Purpose

Super Inbox is where all inbound replies — email and LinkedIn — come together in one place. Instead of checking each connected mailbox separately, your team works every response from a single interface. This article explains how Super Inbox is organized so you can navigate it confidently.

The Three-Pane Layout

Super Inbox has three panels side by side:

Left — Sidebar

Navigation and filtering. This is where you switch between email and LinkedIn, browse folders, apply sentiment filters, and manage labels and Super Views. Can be collapsed to icon-only mode.

Middle — Conversation List

The list of conversations matching your current view. Supports search, filters, bulk actions, and conversation selection. Resizable.

Right — Conversation Detail

The full message thread for the selected conversation, plus the reply composer, contact status controls, and a slide-out contact sidebar.

Sidebar: What Each Section Does

Platform tabs (Email / LinkedIn)

Switch between email conversations and LinkedIn conversations. Each tab shows an unread count badge. Switching platforms clears your current filters.

Folders

Folder

What it contains

Inbox

All incoming conversations awaiting your attention

Sent

Outbound-only threads (email only)

Archive

Archived conversations (still searchable)

Other

System messages: bounces, out-of-office auto-replies (email only). Auto-tagged by SuperSend.

Sentiments

Shortcuts to filter conversations by AI-assigned sentiment: Positive, Negative, Neutral, Needs Review. Sentiments only appear in the sidebar if auto-tagging is turned on for that sentiment in Inbox Settings.

Labels

Team-defined tags for organizing conversations (e.g., "Hot Lead," "Follow Up Later," "Closed"). Click a label to filter. You can select multiple labels simultaneously. The + Create Label button creates a new label (20 character max).

Super Views

Saved filter combinations. For example, a Super View might show "All positive-sentiment conversations in Inbox that the contact sent last" — your warm reply queue. Each Super View shows a count badge and can be created, edited, or deleted from Inbox Settings.

Platform Difference: Email vs LinkedIn

Super Inbox handles both channels but they have some differences:

  • LinkedIn conversations display the LinkedIn identity's name and profile photo in the thread header, framed with a blue border to make the channel clear.
  • LinkedIn conversations have a "SuperSend only" toggle in the conversation list — this restricts the list to contacts that exist in a SuperSend campaign, filtering out other LinkedIn messages.
  • LinkedIn privacy settings — when a team member connected their LinkedIn account with restricted privacy settings, their conversations show a lock icon and can't be accessed by other team members. This is set at account connection time.

Keyboard Shortcuts

Super Inbox has a full set of keyboard shortcuts for working quickly through conversations. Press Shift+? to see the full list, or click the Shortcuts link at the bottom of the sidebar.

Key shortcuts:

  • j / k — navigate down/up in the conversation list
  • e — archive the current conversation
  • u — mark as unread
  • r — focus the reply composer
  • l — open the label command palette
  • / — focus search

Expected Result

You can navigate to Super Inbox, switch between email and LinkedIn, apply filters, and locate specific conversations using folders, sentiments, and labels.

Troubleshooting

  • Issue: No conversations appear.

Fix: Confirm campaigns are actively sending and that connected mailboxes have replies coming in. Also check that you're in the correct team context (top of the left sidebar).

  • Issue: LinkedIn conversations are missing or show a lock icon.

Fix: The LinkedIn account may be connected with restricted privacy settings ("Don't show my LinkedIn conversations to anyone"). This is set when connecting the account. Reconnect with different privacy settings to share conversations with the team.
