Import Contacts from LinkedIn Post Interactions

Import Contacts from LinkedIn Post Interactions

Purpose

Pull everyone who reacted to or commented on one or more LinkedIn posts into SuperSend as contacts. Use this when you want to follow up with an engaged audience from a specific post (yours or a creator in your space) without manual CSV work.

Unlike other LinkedIn features, this import does not use your team's LinkedIn identity. It runs through a SuperSend-managed LinkedIn pool, so it does not spend your connected seat's daily activity budget.

Prerequisites

Credits and billing

  • You are charged 2 credits per profile returned by each scrape job (reactors or commenters), after that job finishes successfully. The charge reflects how many profiles LinkedIn actually returned, not only new contacts added to SuperSend.
  • The dialog shows an upper bound (number of jobs × your per-post cap × 2) if every job hit the cap; real usage is often lower.
  • Debits appear on your org’s credit transactions as linkedin_post_interactions.

Steps

1. Open the import dialog

All Contacts (team)

  1. Go to Contacts (sidebar).
  2. Click Add Contact.
  3. Choose LinkedIn post interactions.

Campaign

  1. Open the campaign → Contacts.
  2. Click Add Contact.
  3. Choose LinkedIn post interactions.

2. Paste the post URLs

Paste one or more LinkedIn post URLs into the text area — one per line (commas and semicolons also work). Up to 25 URLs per request. Invalid or non-post URLs are flagged inline.

3. Pick who to import

Choose one or both:

  • Reactors — everyone who reacted with Like, Celebrate, Support, Love, Insightful, or Funny.
  • Commenters — everyone who commented on the post (including reply authors, deduped by profile).

You can select both. Each (post × interaction type) pair runs as a separate background scrape and rolls up into one progress tracker.

4. Adjust the per-post cap (optional)

The Max interactors per post field caps how many profiles are pulled from each post (default 500, up to 2,000). LinkedIn only lets us scroll a limited number of interactors per post, so this is a practical upper bound — the actual count will often be smaller.

5. Start the import

Click Start import. The dialog closes and the job runs in the background. Progress is shown in the in-app process indicator, with aggregated counts across all URLs.

Expected Result

  • Team import (All Contacts): Contact profiles are created or updated with the scraped LinkedIn URL, full name, and (when available) headline.
  • Campaign import: Contacts are created or updated and enrolled in that campaign, ready for the sequence subject to your sending rules.
  • Deduping: Profiles already on the team are matched by LinkedIn URL and updated rather than duplicated.
  • Audit log: Each job is recorded under contact.import_linkedin_post_interactions_completed (or ..._failed).

Troubleshooting

  • Issue: Import shows 0 interactors for a post.

Fix: The post may be gated (private, members-only group, company-only) or the URL may have been trimmed. Open the post on LinkedIn and copy the URL from the address bar — either the /feed/update/urn:li:activity:... or /posts/... form works.

  • Issue: Import stays queued for a long time.

Fix: The SuperSend LinkedIn pool processes posts one identity at a time and respects per-account cooldowns. Large batches (many URLs × both reactors and commenters) can take several minutes. You can close the dialog — the job continues in the background.

  • Issue: Fewer interactors than LinkedIn shows on the post.

Fix: The per-post cap may be limiting the result, or LinkedIn stopped serving more rows as we scrolled. Raise Max interactors per post or re-run the import.

  • Issue: You see an error about no system identity being available.

Fix: The SuperSend-managed LinkedIn pool is momentarily exhausted or cooling down. Retry after a few minutes — the job will also retry automatically with exponential backoff.
