How to Add a Suppression List to Exclude Contacts in Super Send
Super Send allows you to exclude specific users from receiving emails by using a suppression list. This can be achieved by marking Contacts as finished or keeping them unverified. Follow these steps to set up a suppression list and manage excluded users.
Upload the Contacts to Be Suppressed:
Navigate to the Contacts section in Super Send.
Upload the list of email addresses you want to exclude.
Mark Contacts as Finished:
Once the contacts are uploaded, mark them as Finished.
Finished contacts will not be sent any messages. This is commonly used for users who have completed a sequence but can also serve as a suppression method.
Keep Contacts Unverified:
Alternatively, upload the contacts and leave them unverified.
Unverified contacts are not sent messages, ensuring they remain excluded from campaigns.
Go to the Campaign Settings for your team.
Enable the option to Exclude Contacts:
This ensures that contacts uploaded and marked as finished or unverified are excluded across all campaigns for the team.
Save your settings to apply these exclusions globally.
Prevent Sending to Unwanted Recipients:
Avoid sending emails to users who have opted out or are otherwise not part of your target audience.
Maintain Compliance:
Ensure you respect opt-out requests and comply with email marketing regulations.
Improve Campaign Performance:
Focus on engaged and relevant recipients, which can boost deliverability and engagement rates.
By leveraging suppression lists and Super Send’s Contact management features, you can efficiently exclude specific users and ensure your campaigns target the right audience.
